Refund Policy

1. Our commitment
We want you to be happy with every order. Retouching is a creative, made-to-order service, so this Refund Policy explains exactly when a refund or a credit return applies. It works alongside our Terms of Service and does not affect any statutory consumer rights you have under the law of your country.
2. Revisions come first
Most concerns are best resolved with a free revision rather than a refund. When an order is delivered you have a revision window, shown on the order, during which you can ask the retoucher to adjust the result at no extra cost. Please use a revision if the edit is close but not quite right — it is the fastest way to get the result you want.
3. When we refund the credits for an order
We will return the credits spent on an order, or re-deliver it at no cost, in situations such as:
- The retoucher failed to deliver the file at all, or the delivered file is corrupted or unusable.
- The delivered work does not match the retouching options you ordered.
- We cancelled the order ourselves for a reason that was not your fault.
- A reasonable revision request was not addressed within the revision window.
4. When a refund usually does not apply
Because each order is custom work performed by a person, refunds are generally not available once work has been delivered as ordered and simply does not match a subjective preference that was not described in the brief. Refunds also do not apply where:
- The result is as ordered and a revision could address the concern, but the revision window was allowed to pass.
- The source file you uploaded was too low quality for the requested edit to be possible.
- The order was cancelled because it breached our acceptable-use rules.
- You changed your mind after the retoucher had already started or completed the work.
5. Credit packs and unused credits
Credits you have bought but not yet spent can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, provided they are unused, unless your local law grants you a longer period. Once credits have been spent on an order, that order is governed by the rules above. Refunds for unused credits are returned to your original payment method.
6. Subscriptions
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current billing period. If you cancel shortly after a renewal and have not used the credits from that period, contact us — we will review the request and, where required by law or fair in the circumstances, issue a pro-rata or full refund.
7. How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact us through the Contact page or by email at support@retouching.uk within 14 days of the order being delivered or the credits being purchased. Please include your account email, the order reference, and a short description of the problem. We aim to review every request within 3 business days.
Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider it can take several business days for the refund to appear. Where a refund is not appropriate but a credit return is, we will add the credits back to your balance instead.
