Terms of Service

Retouch is an online marketplace that connects people who need photo or video retouching with professional retouchers who deliver the edited files. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Retouch and apply every time you visit our website, create an account, place an order, or buy credits.

By creating an account or placing an order you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use Retouch. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to anyone else.

To place an order you upload a photo or video, choose the retouching options you want, optionally add a brief, and confirm the order. Photo and video are treated as equal media types — the same ordering, pricing-in-credits, and delivery process applies to both.

Once an order is confirmed it is assigned to a retoucher. A typical photo order is delivered in about 15 minutes and a typical video order in about 45 minutes, but these are estimates, not guarantees — complex briefs, large files, or high demand can take longer.

When your order is delivered you can approve it, request a revision within the revision window shown on the order, or download the finished file. If you do not respond, the order is closed automatically after the revision window ends.

Retouching is paid for in credits. You buy credits in packs or through a subscription, and each retouching option costs a set number of credits shown before you confirm an order. Prices are displayed in US dollars and may change over time; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Credits are added to your balance once payment is confirmed. Credits have no cash value, are not legal tender, and cannot be exchanged for cash except where a refund is due under our Refund Policy or applicable law.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you selected until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current period.

You keep ownership of the photos and videos you upload and of the retouched files we deliver to you. You grant Retouch and the assigned retoucher a limited licence to store, process, and edit your files solely to provide the service you ordered.

You confirm that you own or have permission to upload and edit every file you submit, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required from people who appear in your photos or videos.

We do not use your uploaded or delivered files for marketing, training, or public display without your separate, explicit permission.

You agree not to upload or request edits to content that is illegal, sexually explicit involving minors, hateful, defamatory, or that you do not have the right to use. You also agree not to attempt to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it to harass others.

We may decline, cancel, or refund an order, or suspend an account, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken. Where an order is cancelled because of a breach of acceptable use, credits may not be refunded.

We work to keep Retouch available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service, and we may change these Terms. If we make a material change we will give reasonable notice, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Retouching is a creative service and outcomes are subjective. We will use reasonable care and skill, but to the fullest extent permitted by law Retouch is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order the claim relates to. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You can stop using Retouch and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms. On closure, unused credits are handled in line with our Refund Policy and applicable law.
